Keyword Research & Strategy Development For Your SEO Service

In simple terms, keyword research is all about identifying the words or phrases that your effective customers will type into search engines to find your business or service. Now, you might wonder, how am I supposed to know what people will search for to meet their necessity? Or how can I guess what words someone will use to find my service or product? This kind of uncertainty is completely normal.

Let’s think about it practically. Say you need a mobile phone. Close your eyes and imagine where your mind takes you as you think about purchasing this phone. First, it might direct you to the product category—electronics. Then, which brand is good? Samsung? Where can you find it in the market? Which store has it in stock? What features should you look for? Some of these questions you’ll already know the answers to, but for the unknowns, you might turn to friends who know more about the phone you want. Right?

The same logic applies to search engines. Sit down at the search engine and you’ll find similar questions popping up in your mind. And when you’re in a buying mindset, your questions often become more specific with words like “best” or “cheap.” Researchers have even classified these as “buying keywords.”

So, when people search for a product or service, the terms they use are often similar across users. Conducting keyword research simply involves digging into these common terms a bit more, and there are various tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest and many more  to help with this. The introduction got a bit long, but let’s dive into the rest of the topic!”

Target Keyword Selection:

Since our client has provided the following three keywords, we still need to verify some aspects of them. For instance, we’ll need to check the monthly search volume—meaning how many people in the client’s geographic area are searching using these keywords. We’ll also need to assess the competition level for these keywords, identifying which websites are ranking and how they perform in terms of backlinks and other parameters. It’s essential to keep the client informed, even if they fully understand or not.

For this process, we’ll use a few key tools. Besides Google, there are some paid tools, like Keyword Revealer, which can provide deeper insights. These tools give a general idea and some details about the keywords, but remember, keyword parameters can be variable, so there’s no need to worry too much; getting an overview and planning is crucial.

First, we’ll use tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest to analyze search volume and competition level. We should focus on primary keywords such as:

“memory care in Jacksonville, FL”

 “assisted living Fort Myers, Florida”

 “Senior care in Florida”

The goal of selecting these keywords is to effectively target the main market for ABC Senior Care’s website, aiming for visibility in relevant local searches.”

Long-Tail Keywords:

Long-tail keywords contain more detailed phrases. For example, when you see “senior care,”  you have a general understanding, but “affordable senior care” conveys much more. And if the keyword is “affordable senior care near Jacksonville,” then it’s even more precise. In short, the longer the keyword, the more specific and detailed it is for search engines. Since fewer people search for long-tail keywords, they typically have lower search volume. However, those who search for these terms are often high-quality leads because they are thoughtfully searching for detailed information and are more likely to be interested in purchasing or engaging than those searching with shorter keywords. Therefore, we always feel comfortable working with long-tail keywords and recommend this approach to our clients.

Next, we’ll work with a few long-tail keywords that have less competition but attract highly targeted interest. For example:

  • “Affordable senior care near Jacksonville”
  • “Top-rated memory care in Fort Myers”

These types of long-tail keywords can create opportunities for customized search results without directly competing with other businesses and help attract a more specific audience.

Page Keyword Mapping

Accurately mapping keywords to the correct pages is crucial. This increases each page’s relevance and potential ranking for those keywords. For instance:

  • Adding a high-priority keyword like “Senior Care in Florida” to the homepage highlights the site’s significance for general senior care services.
  • Adding targeted keywords like “memory care in Jacksonville, FL” and “assisted living Fort Myers, Florida” to specific service pages will increase local relevance as a service provider.

By carefully distributing keywords across various pages, each part of the website can achieve optimal positioning in search engines and enhance brand visibility. Hopefully, this concept is clear. If you have any questions, feel free to comment, and I’ll gladly explain further.”
